The 80th was a special edition, but when Morgan discovered the concept of the 'special edition' they really went for it...... so you didn't have to wait too long for another shameless marketing opportunity to come along.🤷🏻‍♂️

At mid £30's for a 4/4 it looks dear when a nice 4/4 can be had for sub £30k.
At mid £30's a very nice +4 can be bought, so someone has to really want an 80th 4/4 and appreciate it's 'uniqueness' to pay up for it.
If a suitable buyer doesn't materialise going to auction with a sensible reserve might be an option.....🤷🏻‍♂️

I am guessing the offer was from a trader who was looking to make the £5k as their profit?

I almost agree with your comment but also consider that we (the experienced Morgan owners of old) are just not their target anymore. The baby went out with the bath water for many. To be fair a number of trad owners who did not go Aero have gone CX?

If they want to bring fresh blood into the game then they need to get new people to 1.See 2. Consider 3. Try a CX given the trad was shot at the same time as the aero for the new range? I still think that decision is going to be the defining error when we look back.

This means getting press and wannabes, sorry influencers, to promote the car. As they used to say in the days when trees were used for paper not hugging, column inches lead to sales. The annual model cycle and special edition strategy is used by all the modern vendors to put their product into contention in a noisy market. If you think it is bad now wait until the Chinese manufacturing powerhouse starts to flood our market. They don't wait four years for a model cycle either. I think we are just watching more conventional marketing activities. Which does not align to our view of Morgan. It's a big bet, not one I would take the odds on at this point. The market is also not in their favour right now. It's the first time I have ever been worried about them.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
