A friend successfully fitted an electric conversion on his 2003 Plus 8 at a fraction of the cost of the above system, it does mean chopping the steering column though but DIY possible. I'll find out details of the kit if anyone is interested but looks very similar to the Motorsport Tools version commonly used on RS2000's etc.
