There are some cars that always seem to dodge the depths of the cyclical valuation dip and somehow manage to maintain and enjoy step changes in value, air cooled Porsche 911, Mercedes Pagoda SL's and Mercedes 280SE Cabriolets to mention a few. They just seem to be untouched by the fall from grace for so many other cars of that era.
