It is with great excitement that Cerealsurfer and I would like to announce yesterday's arrival of a new addition to our family!

It's taken a very long time (years even) and copious amounts of persuasion (Cerealsurfer can be quite tenacious once he's got his mind set on something) but I am pleased to say that little strokes do indeed fell big oaks

His name is Woodstock and he's a healthy 800lbs (x2). He will be spending the next few months of his new life with us at Cerealsurfer's parents, aka race bootcamp... you can't start them too early! Hopefully he'll pick up some tips from his brother in arms, who already welcomed him with open bonnet-wings. grouphug

Looking forward to racing him against Cerealsurfer in the blue sprintcar next season!! drive flag

Congratulations Missprint

I see cereal has worked his man magic, gets his car up graded, realises Missprint might be competition next season, so buys her a car of her own. stirpot

That'll start an interesting debate in the Miller household this evening innocent

If every a match was made in heaven it's you two. See Cereal Alison was right. thumbs

Great to see that you will now be able to Cerealsurfer a run for his money. But will it be like the McLaren team, with two sets of mechanics and pit crew, and no team orders?

Can we expect to see a Team Miller transporter? I was wondering how you will manage to move on-mass.

Thanks everyone for your comments....

To Asbo, Alison looks like she was spot on, I don't under-estimate how lucky I am to find Missprint and that she shares/supports an unusual hobby.

Missprint is really looking forward to getting out on the track in Woodstock, it really means that we can both vie for a win in different classes yet race head to head with good chances.

In terms of moving around I've had a few ideas. It's going to need to be pretty basic initially as it will follow all the expense of bringing Woodstock back to being fighting fit.

Initially I think we will stick to a second car and trailer combo to keep costs down. Brian James used to make a double decker trailer and there is one for sale but it's way too expensive. We can look at a more efficent solution after that, as we head to circuit racing I suspect something a bit more along the lines of a Dastle race trailer for two cars or something similar might be an option, but at the moment, that's too far in the future and can be solved later. Right now we're sorting out logistics of engines, swaps and timing.

As Woodstock is getting the interim engine I might wait to the end of the season to take it out and swap everything around then. It will make planning and execution more efficent and ultimately cheaper - Ho Hummm..

Anyhow.. given that we have Woodstock, the Sprint Car does not have a name... what about calling the blue and white car Snoopy?

Rather apt I thought.....
