We were given a Morgan Leather Care Kit with our Roadster 100 when it was delivered new. It seems to work fine and smells lovely. Not sure who makes it stars .

I tried Saddle Soap on the very Water Stained Luggage Straps which was fine until they got wet again and it just washed off. idea

Have been using ‘Meguiar's’ Gold Class Rich Leather cleaner & conditioner gel. There is a product from ‘Glipstone Leathercare Ltd’ which is a two application cleaner and a conditioner, it claims to heal heavy creases and scuffs! Photo’s in the ads. look good! is it as good as it looks?

2001 4/4 4 seater.

Turtle Wax cleaner & conditioner. Came out very well in a magazine test some time ago. I've also got a Connelly cleaner and conditioner, but find the Turtle Wax easier to apply with a nicer smell.

PS - just back from North Devon, and MrsW's birthday. The weather has been quite good. Sat in the sun in a sheltered spot in a T shirt on Friday afternoon. Got soaked on saturday afternoon on a long walk. Should have been better prepared!!!
Journey back today mostly dry except at the start.

The standard leather on Morgans and most modern cars has a substantial synthetic top layer. This makes it very durable and easy to look after. However it does tend to look more 'plastic' than leather.
To experience 'real' leather it's necessary to specify the distressed leather option which does need more care. Currently I'm using Autoglym and have found it satisfactory over 16 months and 10,000 miles since new.
I'm rather particular about leather - the consequences of having been in the trade. Hence my Golf GTI has fabric rather than leather. The leather option was too basic - rather like a standard Morgan !

The happy memories I still have of the fabulous 1600 Mk1 GTi we owned back in Wimbledon 27 years ago mean I strongly believe that the appropriate upholstery for a Golf GTi is that VW tartan which adorned those early cars.

I still rate that Golf as one of the best cars we've ever owned.

Propert's Leather & Saddle Soap works well for my year round topless style. Hardwork working it in but the leather is like a Ducks back afterwards (not greeny brown). A good half days job doing all the cockpit leather but it lasts the year.

Propert's has been bought out by Kiwi and they market it under the Meltonian brand Stateside, I have an old tin which will need renewing next year.

Thanks for all the advice, really appreciated and it gives me options once my bottle of Autoglym runs out.

One tip that you might find useful?
On my bonnet strap I use Grangers G Wax, it's made to put on walking boots. It works really well.

Interesting comment. It probably explains the lack of aroma of leather. I've done a bit of leatherwork in the past and have picked up a number of samples/off cuts of leather....and they are very different to what's in my Morgan. But then they wouldn't wear as well or shrug off the rain. The best hide I've got is from an Italian luxury bag maker.....probably enough to cover most of a seat......that would have been and looked wonderful.
