No, probably not, but I don't want one of these modern electronics filled motors - it tends to interfere with my radio (or is unable to withstand the sometimes strong r.f. fields my radio kit can generate).
Many of the farmers around here use Japanese 4x4 to tow their trailers...

The Jag SUV looks marginally less hideous than most other SUVs. But they are all "wrong".
This is where I have to confess to a momentary lapse of reason that cost me dearly. About a year ago I bought a RR Evoque Si4 Dynamic : I still don't really understand why and I regretted the decision almost immediately. Then after it broke down 3 times in 5 months I called time and traded it in for a "nice and sensible" BMW saloon.
Objectively it was useless: it pretended to be a proper X Country vehicle but the wheels and tyres made it less effective than a HiLux. It pretended to be a sports Coupe, but the ride height and suspension meant that in sport mode it was marginally more comfortable than the Roadster. Interior space was useless and wind noise was unacceptable over 70.
Conclusion: a great vehicle if you value appearance over driving and enjoy drinking coffee in the the dealer's waiting area.
Me? I'd make road tax on all 4X4 trucks £500 to £1000 a year.
If you want a 4X4 buy a HiLux Crew Cab for road use or a LWB Landrover Defender if you really need off road competence. But SUVs are only fit for the school run.
