Evening everyone. Time 22:23 and I am waiting in Pangbourne to collect my son from his pal's, for the second night running. In the Morgan of course no hood or side screens. The ride home should sober him up :-)
This is the only opportunity to use it today. I did see a blue Morgan in caversham and had the pleasure of meeting Matty and his M3W outside hobbycraft today.

I am sure that purchase of a Roadster has guaranteed good weather! Two more great drives over the weekend. The car is addictive, and I'm surprised how enjoyable it is without the side screens. The sun, the burble of the v6 - what sheer pleasure!

A +4 on the hill at Prescott today C*10MOG. Didn't recognise the plate. Had I known I'd be at Cattle Grid I'd have taken the Mog. But, the 90 did need a run out...

I have driven into work today (same as last Friday) and plan to see another Morgan in the car park as I'm being visited by Richard Jones and his +8 from Kent.

Finally, after a stupidly long winter and then annoyingly unpredictable (but persistent) rain for the last couple of weeks, we finally had some proper Morgan weather in southern Ontario. I've had a few quick runs out to make sure the spring's servicing/fettling is not causing any untoward behaviour, but this long weekend (it was Victoria Day in Canada yesterday - nothing like celebrating the birthday of another country's long-dead monarch to cement the post-Colonial spirit of a nation...) I was at last able to go for a proper drive. Leaving behind with the dog, the Mog was loaded with three offspring for a gentle outing through the countryside amongst the hundreds of cyclists who were out enjoying the weather. Once everything was warmed up and settled down, the kids were dropped back at home and I went for a little play. Not very many twisty roads hereabouts (long straights and right-angle corners are the order of the day) but a couple of years ago I did discover a glorious route up and over the Niagara Escarpment, which has a little switchback climb and a section that follows the wiggles of the contour lines for a while. For all its long lay-up this winter, the car is running better than it has for the last three or four years. A couple of little niggles that have plagued it recently seem to have magically disappeared. The only sadness is that a sharp stone or piece of metal has been flung up by the rear tyre at some point and starred the paintwork on the rear wing. Time for some DaveW wheelarch protectors, methinks...

Another wonderful day in Florida (Sorry!). The Plus 8 took me to lunch in downtown Winter Park. Winter Park Florida is really the best part of Orlando. I go there often as I have a Morgan friend who owns a hotel there. Winter Park is far enough away from the touristy theme parks (Disney and Universal) and thus 'normal' and has great ambiance with tree lined streets, cobble stones, cafes and boutiques. Great people watching and always great cars. Anyone visiting Orlando needs to plan on visiting Winter Park.

Driving down to Goodwood on Friday for a dealer track day. Just looked at the indemnity forms I have to sign and they strictly forbid the publication of any photos taken, on the internet or anywhere else with a penalty of £25k per photo Not come across that before!!

Not a great countryside drive but I went into Paisley today to get some spray paint for the AA badge which was my Dad's. It's one that had the chrome front with membership number on and a backing plate of AA yellow. Had to get it made up.
