BUT am I the I my person who is fed up of seeing 'another' new car with great fanfare and introduction and razzamataz and then..... Nothing.
My new 'favourite' is the Farbio... what a name Kin, I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that it would be great to see MMC embrace the idea they started with the LIFECar (and continue with the 4/4 Sport - ie light and therefore economical to run) and create a high performance sports car with excellent mpg. I, for one, would buy a Morgan coupe (in the vein of the AeroMax) with a BMW 335d engine (if you haven't experienced this engine, don't knock it - (a) it isn't noisy and (b) they can make it growl from the exhaust) or the Land Rover TDV8 (again, as per BMW's 335d, excellent power, refinement and note from the exhaust). A daily driver Morgan coupe that does 70mpg... sign me up!

Farbio Whoever thought up that name should be sacked! When I first heard that name. Two things immediately sprung into my mind... A:Its an addition model from Skoda(Fabia) B:Conjures up mental image of those who buy the car are all hairy chested and wears medallion (Boshly?) As for the 335d engine, I couldn't agree more

Farbio ...Conjures up mental image of those who buy the car are all hairy chested and wears medallion (Boshly?) Actualy Farbio was a bastardisation of Farboud to make it sound Italianesque IMHO, Matsui comes to mind Farboud (after the original Iranian owner) was bad enough. I appreciate many cars were called after their creators but not nowadays surely and not if you are manufacturing in a 'foreign' country? However, thinking about my own car (just about to go into production, 0-60 2.5s 275Mph, 75mpg @ 200Mph only £100k deposits of 25% now taken) the Boshly V12 GTi S doesn't sound so bad does it?
Cheers

I believe he is still making a car under his name, hence the change to Farbio to separate the 'cheaper' car from the upmarket Farboud Who was the marketing genius behind this decision?!?

And a 'new' Farboud 8 (at £120k) to be a 'downmarket' version of his Farboud 10. OK let me see? Gallardo/Aeromax or unknown, unproven, unproduced car with a funny name
Cheers

After posting that, I did a Google search and found that Farboud is now called Arash Cars (Mr. Farboud's first name being Arash) and their first product is called the AF10. Due to his dissapointment that Farbio have watered down his initial concept (iirc it was to have an Audi V10 or V8 from the RS4/RS6 and cost £200,000+ but is now circa £70k and has a Mondeo sourced V6), that he has dropped the Farboud name to separate his new car further from the Farbio.
