-One over-night bag packed with the end pouch stuffed with a flask of coffee and a tasty snack.....the bag placed into the passenger foot well so the snack can be reached from the drivers seat! - A warm jacket (a short sheepskin flying jacket..."suits you sir!") - Leather driving gloves & Leather or fleece beanie hat stuffed in the glove box...(of course) - Smart phone with BBC weather app..... + a good pair of sun glasses......(keep checking the local weather!!) - Side screens on.....(we're going on a journey not round to the local for a pose) - The hood folded up carefully and stored in a slimline bag on the rack or behind the seats.....(Hoods are for wimps, right?....better take it just in case I decide I am one!...thunder storms and prolonged rain on the motorway need only apply). ....and finally the tonneau...zipped down the middle, the drivers half rolled up and stuffed behind the seat back. The other half clipped into position to keep out the wind and the dust and to hide away the bits and bobs during pit stops etc... Now it's just me, inserted into the driving seat...the Morgan and the open road....... ...I love my tonneau!! I think i've only used my hood twice this year. The second time was to give it a straighten out ahead of the colder months that lie ahead.

I don't get on with the full tonneau cover. When I bought my Roadster, the tonneau had not been used, and the fasteners were not fitted and came in a bag. I fitted them early on, but I've only used the full tonneau twice. I like to have sidescreens on when its cold enough for a tonneau, and I think that having one head restraint looks unbalanced. I much prefer the hood cover on the easy up and that's why I made my own half tonneau cover for the passenger side - which works really well with the hood cover, and the extra cover I have under the hood cover to stop the draught behind the seats.

I don't have the luxury of an Easy Up hood, so I use the tonneau almost exclusively. The hood rarely goes on. The tonneau is used to keep the sun off the seats, keep curious eyes from looking in my glove box, securing groceries, etc. And, I have covered the passenger side only, when alone, to drastically improve aerodynamics!
Cheers,
Mark

Tonneau is my first port of call. Always has been. I was without it for a short while after the Rollbar was fitted, waiting for Austin to start at Williams to mod it and really missed it. If alone then it's half opened for myself, and in winter it maintains a warm cocoon effect. In light rain it's fine, and storm cover used if it's heavier when parked up, and hood on in bad rain. I have a trad hood with lift the dots. Tonneau is easy to roll/fold out of the way and not interfere with seat belts - or the dogs if they are in the car! The only niggle is water can get in when side screens are on and rain is heavy but towels placed to catch are ok. Be nice to have a fit that allows side screens though.

Don't fasten the pop fastener on the door opening and before you close the door lift the bottom edge of the tonneau to form a sloping channel which catches the rain and allows it to drain at the opening edge of the door.

This drains it down nicely I find - like most things Morgan it's the fun of discovery.

Richard, the covers for the head restraints were an easy thing to do. Thanks for your comment. She does look remarkably clean considering I use her a lot and don't clean here that often.

It makes a 4 seater look like a two seater and gives you somewhere to stash coats and luggage out of sight Also a lot quicker to pull over than the roof !
