Well done ! Top notch pendantry.

However........if we're being pedantic, may I point out that the plural of tonneau is tonneaux ? hide

Surely only a pedant would have the temerity to draw attention to the continual misuse of a word in online forums? Or is it Fora? laugh2

Fora: the plural of forum.

Forum: an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest.

So, Ken is right, Fora not Forums if you wish to stick to correct Latin grammar.

But What is a Forum? Is it this place, "Talk Morgan", or is it the indvidual thread? If the latter then the correct use would be "Talk Morgan Fora"....

But almost 2000 years after ancient Rome ceased to matter do we really need to worry about the grammar of the language used then, or are we free to use modern English plurals? I think so.

H.W. Fowler, on the subject of the plural form of Latin-derived words ending in -UM, lists those that should always end in -UMS.

Among these is forum, so the correct plural form for the professional pedant is forums.

Returning to the topic:

1) With the 'Easy-Up' hood, how difficult is it to fit the tonneau cover?

2) How easy is it to remove and refit the 'Easy-Up' hood?

I was taught that the correct use of the plural form went with the context of the usage. If the word was being used in its original context, then the original plural should be used, but when transferred into a different context, then the appropriate plural should be applied.

So internet forums are not Roman fora, and modern tonneau covers do not cover barrels :-)
