I've attached the route for LogMog New Year Run tomorrow.
Ironically about half way round it goes past our house...!!
Start abut 10:30 and follow is in spirit! It is going to be cold the BBC weather forecast suggests it will be warmer than further north, but still no more than 3C at 10am. So you will be warm and snug on your virtual drive!!

Petersfinger ?
:santahohoho: :santahohoho:
Actually Alderbury....
Petersfinger = Saint Peter ad Vincula is corrupted to Peter’s Finger. But why is the street called Petersfinger? Some web research was needed!
It seems that in the middle ages fences of the Royal Clarendon Estate at Peter’s Finger were ‘thrown open’ on Lammas Day, which also happens to be the feast of Saint Peter ad Vincula. Lammas day is 12th of August, after the harvest. They remained open until the following Lady Day (25th March)when the the fields would have been sown with seed. Why throw the fences open? so animals would graze and help fertilise the soil.

What a Saturday drive with my Girl by my side To the Breakfast meeting at Allon Whites with only a handful of Mog out to play on this dismally wet day!
Bacon sandwiches good and so was the company with a mix of owners both 'locus' sorry Lotus and Morgan!
Then off to Blisworth for lunch with a a mate and his lady, who are inflicted by the Octagonal Devil. A spot of lunch and give them a helping hand moving all the dismantled Devil's around the workshop! I did wear overalls, over boots and gloves as I did not want to catch this contagious infliction as I have the similar form, Morganitus The drive home in the early hours was fun with frozen untreated country lanes to hone 'play' and then some motor way and duel carriage way to whisk us home, There was a wiggle at Ice Pack corner. It also looked like it had calmed an other victim earlier in the day as there was signed of Spill control next to the buckled armco.
SO TO ALL OF YOU TRAVELLING ON THE A428 BE VERY VERY WEARY OF THE COXTON GIBBIT ROUNDABOUT IT CLAIMS VICTIMS IN THE DRY AND THE WET!
We have had some incredible weather in the last few days, quite warm in fact. We have a wind from the north which is a type of Föhn, a warm dry wind that comes from the Alps. It is not actually all good news as it can cause a false spring. If the plants think it is spring and the leaves start to bud a cold snap can then kill the plants.
Anyway I was getting a bit bored at home and what better medicine than to go for a run in the Morgan. Pity about all those Sunday drivers At about 8 min you can see the passenger in the car in front was taking selfies with a phone on the end of a stick. I took the first opportunity I could to pass them.
I made a video of some of the less boring parts of my run from Mandello del Lario to Colico and back.
The sound quality from the dash cam is terrible, sorry about that frown It seems to be picking up more wind noise than usual, perhaps because of a different mounting position.
PS. Originally posted yesterday but then deleted because YouTube had done terrible things to the video quality. I cancelled everything and then reloaded the video. It is still not as good as the original but it is better.
