'Just' GT's?? Hahahahah. I had a Ford GT from new in 2005 until quite recently - a fabulous car. 220mph rocket.

Ben - I took mine into Revolve as I know them extremely well as they looked after my GT. I wanted them to look at it as I was unhappy with the variable valve timing - so they switched it off (via software) and back on again, but it allowed me to drive it sans V.V.T. We also discussed the resonance of the large (heavy) Mustang flywheel in the lighter Morgan.

End story was that Revolve didn't re-map, merely looked, tinkered a bit, a put it back the way it was.

I'm not sure the carbons I'm charged for on the Road Tax (which is humungous) that Revolve/Morgan did a great job. I think my full fat petrol Range Rover is cheaper. smile

As it turns out, no. The ECU swap is the main bit and takes you to 300 horses.
To get to 320 though does require the flywheel swap.

Hello,
as posted in an other topic, my roadster has 308 hp without modification except the sport exhaust. Changing the ECU only makes sense if you exceed that or seriosly struggle with the hanging revs.

Have decided to hold back on the flywheel until I see/feel the results of the ECU swap.

For me, fixing the hanging revs is the most important bit.... of course a few more horses never go amiss.

Just listening and learning, re the throttle lag. The only way I find to loose it is to be sensible and drive slowly!

Sod that!! I just keep practicing until I find the right timing
to reduce the surge and smooth out the gear change before the better half starts complaining.

Still it's very enjoyable after the +4

The issue I'm looking to get resolved is....what happens, on short shifting below 4k rpm, all is well, depress the clutch, back off the throttle, revs die quickly, engage next gear, make progress.
Above 4k, it’s a different story, depress the clutch, back off the throttle, stays at whatever rpm it was at for perhaps a second and a half before the revs die away and hence you have to wait before engaging the next gear. So, fine and dandy for pootling about, but when in a hurry (and what are Sports cars about if not to hurry from time to time), not so good….if you forget in the heat of the moment and engage a gear, the rears spin up and dump you in the scenery.
To be fair, the Mustang is an auto, so the box sorts this for you....in a manual 'tis a different story....

No there are manual Mustangs as well, if you research US sites they suffer the same issues but because of being heavier the impact is different, but same problems.
