Sorry guys our lips are sealed! But we did have a great trip to Spain, then Bordeaux over the Easter weekend, back through Caen this week. One of the highlights of the trip was a private visit and wine-tasting at Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, lunch at their hotel and afterwards the ladies were able to purchase cosmetics and state of the art anti-ageing products made with a revolutionary process, using grape polyphenols. Luckily there wasn't time for the ladies to use the spa as those Caudalie products are seriously expensive...

Driving Morgans around Europe, private wine tastings, fine dining?
It's a tough job, but I suppose someone's got to do it. I'm not in the least envious...

Coming home from work today, I was driving up the hill from the Air Balloon roundabout on the A417, and in the queue coming down the hill was what looked like an Aero Plus 8, in a sort of brick red colour. We were returning two of the development Plus 8's back to the factory Tim. I was in tin-top, I did wave but guessed you did not see me! I see the prototype invisibility cloak works then as you didn't spot the black car directly in front. Just hope its worked on the speed camera.

That doesn't look like your average Best Western. Indeed it doesn't, the video looks brilliant. One to save for the future, thanks Bud. We stopped here in Blanquefort, adjacent to Bordeaux in the Haut Medoc: The Chateau belongs to our major French wine supplier and also their main office and wine school is in the grounds. It was the Headquarters of the Atlantic U-Boat Command during WWII and two of the so called 'Cockleshell Hero's' were caught and shot against the bunker at the back of the premises. There is a plaque commemorating this and the Marines and the French forces have a remembrance service here each year. If you get as far south as Bordeaux, the Arcachon basin is well worth a visit and the Dune du Pilat is the highest sand dune in Europe. Great water-sports and also noted for seafood, this restaurant has fantastic views, though we have had some very average meals here. This time we returned to Cap Ferret, on the opposite side of the bay, to Chez Hortense a simple beachhut on the point and whilst they are now pushing their range of fish dishes, we had a few oysters followed by their signature dish of moules et frites, see the photo on the website. However, the moules are partially stuffed with a mixture of breadcrumbs, duck breast and herbs, and then cooked in duck fat. Naturally the frites are also double-cooked in duck fat too. The diet starts on Monday...

Brian That looks lovely. Not sure if my diet would cope though!
