See used the abrasive side to clean some bird muck off the bonnet of her Corsa (not my cars thank god).

I picked up a spray of some sort of resin on the windscreen of the Alfa. I made the mistake of thinking a nice new nylon pot sponge would not harm the glass. Took me hours and hours with jewelers paste to "nearly" get the scratches out banghead

Fortunately not in the line of vision.
