Hi. Over the last couple of trips out I have been told."do you know you have a flat tyre" I run. My 4/4 on 24lbs.i did go to 28 lbs but I seems better on the lower. I am sure some even run at 22 lbs. Is it a matter for how the car handles. If involved in an serious accident the police would take tyre pressure is there a minimum and maximum?

If people are telling you your tyres look flat, it might suggest that your pressure gauge is in error. A car's tyres should never look flat. You're correct in summising the legal implication.
Tyre pressures will vary depending on the weather whether the pressure is taken before or after a run.
You don't mention the model of 4/4 or the dimensions or aspect ration of the tyre.

I stick at 22-24 for general use on my 2010 4/4 sport.

Been that way for years once tried 24 psi on the road it was horrid . In the very early years of owning Woodstock (a 72 4/4 2 seater) I tried the factory pressures for about 30 miles. Absolutely horrid and I eventually settled on 22 front, 23 read. This worked well for the original tyres (165/82) and all of the wider low profile tyres I fitted during the course of my ownership. For competition on tarmac, about 30 seemed to be good and for trials, 12 was used! (I was told lower is better, but that was the minimum the regulations allowed).
