I suspect that this misconception is grounded on the fact that lotus used to offer this option, and caterham still do - so people assume that it is the case with Morgans. AS did TVR...  I never knew that

Well that is interesting, no wonder some might think Morgan also supplied kits Back in the day it was all to do with avoiding the payment of purchase tax. If the car was in kit form, the purchaser wasn't liable to pay it. One would surmise that even then Morgan were managing to find enough buyers without employing such tactics.

On the MSCC stand at the NEC we always have a competition as to which stand volunteer gets the first "wooden Chassis" mention of the day. I had one this afternoon outside my house We see advertisements like this quite often. Surely it is misleading advertising? I would have thought that there should be laws against this sort of thing. The Morgan company could complain to ebay or whoever is publishing the ad every time it happens.
