Rodez and back - 23degrees and still 17degrees at 6:30p.m. 20 degrees in Vienna and blue skies. Out of the garage at 0800 with little traffic and the morgan loving it and off to the airfield for a one hour flight over the Weinviertel. The trip back is via the B roads which are still wet from last night's rain. Absolutely no grip in my rear tyres. Mental note - replace rear tyres! Home at 1230 to pick up my lovely and drive into the hills for lunch. Everyone wants to talk to us about the car. Drop lovely off at home and put the mog back in the garage (two blocks away) for a quick rub down. Bliss.

Tarka is in the garage, connected to the battery charger and will sit there until next weekend, but probably the end of November.

Not exactly. Trip yesterday was meant to be in the Morgan with 15 other cars to RAF Cosford Air Museum near Wolverhampton. Horizontal torrential rain and wind at home and for most of the journey forecasted plus meant the Morgan was not likely to come out of the garage. Reality matched the forecast but what a superb collection of planes were there. Split into two groups with extremely knowledgeable tour guides costing £2 each, no charge for the museum entrance and just £3.50 car parking made it extremely good value. Great trip and well worth a visit. Highlight was standing underneath a Vulcan - so much larger than I thought it would be.

Took the Roadster out with roof down over to Budster for a coffee and natter, Inspected Stanleys new radiator which looks very good and well fitted. Then onto Berrybrooks for a chat with Bradley. Great drive with several opportunities to bed in the new front brakes a bit more. They are starting to feel very good and was able to do a very quick pull up from high speed in what I thought as a short distance and no sign of locking up. Then back home with the wind getting up and leaves blowing around in the air. Bit of a boring last 10 miles home due to a Ford Ka doing 35 mph all the way with a queue of cars behind.
