Mog 89 was near to Inverness and the distilleries . The odd thing was mogs parked near rivers and streams in the middle of nowhere but no mog owners about. Must have been sleeping it off under the bridges . Carr-bridge to be precise. Although both Scottish Mogs had a whisky as regalia, the Mog 89 one was rather special being a single cask bottling that was not in the normal character for Glenfarclas. Consequently, the few bottles that have not been drunk are worth a fortune now, £550 anyone...

Those videos are amazing , dreaming of taking a supercar up there , or , why not the Mog ?
I would think more or less any sort of supercar is utterly unsuited to driving the best roads that Scotland has to offer. Not nearly enough ground clearance, too much width, and too much power - you need something that you can enjoy driving to its potential, and the thing about Scottish roads is that they generally IME leave absolutely no room for error! A Morgan, on the other hand, especially a 4/4 or +4, is the perfect tool for a bit of Highland Hooning. One of my favourites is the old military road from Fort Augustus to Farr. We're not going back there next year, and I'm regretting the decision already...

Glanfarclas seem to do a nice line in custom bottling, I have a bottle of Special Air Service whisky, purchased from the Mess at Stirling Lines. It contains Glenfarclas 12 year old, but I haven't opened it. Yet...

On that note, my brother did once witness a Ferrari stuck at the top hairpin of the Bealach na Baa perched on diagonal wheels like a particularly eccentric see-saw. Luckily he was in a Mini so was able to get round the obstruction but didn't hang around to find out how they got it away.

The west coast is a fantastic place, but I too feel a little sad that publicity has hit. This was taken back in 2004 when three of us Monkeyed around..

Timing is everything. We went over the Bealach in mid August this year and in places the visibility was less than 20 yards due to low cloud, mist, and rain. We also encountered several foreign registered motorhomes attempting to descend the pass, each of which was too big to fit into the passing places!

Sorry Steve....I just can't get head around you riding that thing....any photos? I can't think what you mean.. I seem to remember my wife described it as squatting in the road with a number plate on my bum..! It was one of the best biking times ever, though. The three were all in different stages of tune & we raced each other flat out up hill & down dale all of the time, never once cracking more than 55mph..!! I guess 4/4 owners can relate to that..
