Crikey Mark,
You kept that quiet! Hope you are back to full fitness now? Took me three months after I ran into a JCB years ago. Went back to work after 2 months on light duty (very strict instructions from Dr. re: not stressing anything).

Dead right - was sitting there grumpy as couldn't drive and I get an invite to Williams open day. Normally I would have just looked and said " too far" this time I thought " what the hell" and booked flights and a hire car. Life is too short and I have a different focus now, so.... See you all at Williams on 16th April!!!!!

Almost there, can still tell when I've done to much as chest and back gets a bit uncomfortable but minor in comparison.

Any crash you can walk away from and all that.

Glad to be able to use the Mog still as the day before I did the same journey in the Mog whereas the following day it was in my ex Audi.

And before anyone jumps to conclusions with it being an Audi driver I was in the right, an old boy didn't slow/stop at give way and came across the road less than a second in right infront of me I was doing 50 in a 60 limit if I'd been doing the speed limit I'd have not had the crash.

I haven't driven that route since and there have been three serious accidents there since mine even after highways had trimmed hedges new signs newly painted cross roads.

My trip to NZ was already scheduled and worked well as part of my convalescence albeit I had to scale back some physical activities obviously.

Back to more pleasant topics probably not driving the Mog today as the rain is driving across our garden in sheets although I could Park it on the drive spray a bit of shampoo on it and see if nature would wash it for me wink

Lunch halt today in the Alpes de Haute Provence. The 'Bentley' is of course a Sexton Blake.

Went over to Seaton today to see Adrian...

Probably not the best day for a Mog, but Tarka kept me warm and dry as the rain came across the road sideways on a 50mph gale! The A35 west from Dorchester was particularly interesting: I've never driven in cloud in a gale with very heavy rain.

I also discovered what happens when in a Plus 8 you hit standing water, a lake across both lanes and about 5cm deep un the middle, at 50 mph. Absolutely nothing other than sheets of water each side. I was very impressed by the stability. The car didn't deviate from my intended path.

Anyway, spent a couple of hours with Adrian, we went out for a run as he hadn't been in Tarka before. I left him looking well and cheerful.

That's good to read, Peter.

We had a ride out to have a jolly nice home made hot cross bun & a brew with Madmax & Mrs Madmax before the monsoons arrived..

A great adventure with heater, a roof and just a light rain inside the cockpit from the gale force winds on MY side..

I'm loving this car..!!

Great to hear you're enjoying 4 wheels so much. How are you finding the windscreen "wipers"?
