I am sure the specialists will be able to to identify this beauty.
She was parked next to the Braunsberg hillclimb today.
I could not get closer - so any info welcome!

Looks like a low volume italian design from 1950s?

Not many clues, is that a three piece rear window?

Beautiful looking car but I have no idea what it is...

Could possibly be a 50's Ferrari. maybe based on a 166?

Could be a Lancia ? Zagato or Appia?

I haven't got a clue but I like it lots.

Getting Ferrari from the grill...maybe.

It does look like a derivative of the 166.

This has a similar nose and proportions ?

That is an an early Ferrari , If I get time I will look it up.

It's definitely italian or at least Vignale designed, probably a Ferrari 195 or 212 Inter.

The other brands that could have a car like that are Maserati and Lancia, but the A6G 2000 has some clearly "Maserati" features that set them apart from Ferrari.

Concerning Lancia, their narrow, vertical grills are usually very different from the ovals from Ferrari or Maserati, but there are exceptions, like this one (Aurelia Coupe by Vignale):




So I'll guess Ferrari, probably a 212 Inter.


EDIT - Never saw one with opposing windshield wipers. That's very odd (and notice the Lancia has them).

I did some phonecalls yesterday evening.
Got some more information on the car, but it was a mixed bag and the result (according my further internet research) was a big surprise!
(A "Facel" logo on the car was the key for further investigation):

The car should be a Ford Comete, produced by Facel metallon in France in the early 50's
