Took the dogs to Oxwich on Gower.
Walked over to Three Cillfs and back after a coffee in the hotel garden. Free parking! Costs £2 ( maybe more) in beach carpark!
Drove over to King Arthur Hotel not far away for a light lunch outside.
Glorious blue skies and shorts/polo to keep cool.
Returned over Cefn Bryn hill.
Now to clean the car of sand in the back.

Lovely run out to Torcross today and it's good to see the road back in action with two way traffic after the gales.

A swans nest a few metres in from the Ley for us all to keep an eye out for again this year, I would hazard a guess at least 30 breeding pairs in the area.

The Sherman solidly reminding us all of the sacrifice made by so many young US serviceman due to a lack of communication by the Admiralty during the run up to the D Day landings. Conservative estimate is 700 but it is thought locally to be nearer a 1,000. God rest their young souls.

The ice cream vans are out in force enjoying the sunshine and the profit it brings after such rubbish early season weather.

Yes, three. But all short drives. And pushed two others. All good, no drama.
Cheers

Our son at Bristol University invited us down to buy him lunch today. A lovely drive down the A38 this morning in the sunshine, side screens off. drive
Stopped just outside Bristol on the way back to erect sidescreens and roof as the rain started. We hit the thunderstorm at Gloucester and stayed under it all the way home. Torrential rain, flooded roads and walls of water coming at us as the idiots in the 4x4s ploughed through the floods without slowing down.

The good news: very little water ingress on my side of the car.
The bad news: swmbo got very wet on her side. Perhaps she will drive next time smile

A wonderful drive via Slough & Windsor to Guildford for the SwanMog event.

Just after Slough before the M4 roundabout everyone stopped to allow a duck & her roughly 20 ducklings cross the dual carriageway. Very refreshing to see human nature in action
