Hello Mark
Could you let me know the cost of the pulley bolt modifcation kit.
I have been told by your service team that it is around £400.
I have been asked to contribute half towards this and pay for the full labour cost at another £200.
S and S are charging less than £200 for the same kit.
If this is a a fault it should be done FOC. I was actually happy to go halves as I have done 20000 in the old girl. However I feel my good nature has been somewhat taken advantage of and in fact I am paying full price for the kit.

Just noticed Aston Martin are using a subscription service (Salesforce.com) to get a handle on customer sales requests including dealer handling and marketing. They mentioned it was part of their move to being a luxury (vs automotive) brand. Such "Customer Relationship Management" software could be an interesting aid to Morgan's operations, one suspects, given the title of this thread!

I took my Porsche to a dealer for some work which was completed satisfactorily. 2 days later I got a customer survey from Porsche uk which asked 30+ questions, all primarily about how well the dealer met my expectations.

Same here. I only had the winter wheels swopped! Because I hadn't given the dealer a top score on one point...4 out of 5, the dealer then rang me to apologise and discuss the issue!

We've got two relatively new Porsche's and have never had such a customer survey when they've gone in to have work or a service done, nor did we get any satisfaction survey from Porsche UK after we had bought them. frown

Maybe that's because we deal with a Porsche-owned Dealership and they don't want to hear poor reports on themselves! wink Having said that we don't have any complaints with the overall service, though the Boxster did have to go back for a minor electrical glitch now fully rectified.

Similar-ish experience with Honda. Every service (which cost £300 for the first 4 years, all I have to pay for are consumables and MOTs after 3 years) they come and collect the car, service it, give it a full valet, and then return it. They then follow up with a questionnaire, albeit with not quite so many questions as the Porsche version, primarily concerned with how well the Dealer met my expectations.

The last time I did the questionnaire, I got a follow up call from the dealership anyway. I had to explain that as the car has been completely faultless from the day I bought it, and the service from the dealer has been similarly faultless, I was unable to suggest any way in which they might improve.

That's really excellent service Tim, especially the collection and delivery. I thought it was the only really expensive marques that went that far! thumbs Qudos to Honda, though I've never owned one!

It certainly is, and wasn't something that I expected. When I bought the car, my criteria were that I wanted something with 4-wheel drive, British built, and with a decent reliability record - which knocked out Land Rover, my Freelander wasn't what you'd call trouble-free smile

The Honda has surpassed all my expectations, the lads and ladies (and Robots!) in Swindon do a great job and I can't sing the praises of the car highly enough. Plus you save oodles of £ by not having a German badge on the bonnet smile

Actually, I've just thought of something not perfect - the automatic climate control only permits you to adjust the cabin temperature in whole degree C increments - Jane's Fiat 500 lets you do it to the half degree. I shall complain in the strongest possible terms!
