The best service I've had by far was Lexus.
I owned a very second-hand RX350h of modest value.
My mate had one of those, the build quality is absolutely fantastic on them, isn't it? An extremely impressive car indeed.

Hi MDH
No I personally was unaware of the issues, having investigated this morning i can confirm. S&S have supplied the incorrect washers for our stock, this has now been resolved (following SGT's comments). Brake caliper bolts listed in our parts book are MGS06210 M10x35 this is incorrect, and should be MGS06213 M10x65 - I've requested a change to the parts book and this will be addressed with the next version. If you'd like to email me with your address i'll get a washer and bolts posted directly to you. mark.evans@morgan-motor.co.uk

Hi Matty
In answer to your question,the 370-0018 (S&S part number) kit consists of the following parts;
1. Pinion pulley hardware update a. Pinion pulley bolt wasn’t maintaining clamp load. Bolt and washer redesigned and new hardware being used 2. Cam pulley hardware update a. Pulley retention nuts were working loose and allowing pulleys to wobble. Upgraded hardware now used 3. Tensioner pulley update a. The pulley was walking off of the bearing. Snap rings incorporated to prevent this from happening 4. Idler pulley update a. The pulley was walking off of the bearing. Snap rings incorporated to prevent this from happening 5. Cam chest cover spacer kit a. Provides additional cooling contributing to a greater life expectancy for the cam belt. b. New cars are built with a vented cover and don’t require the use of the spacer kit 6. Cam belt
Our retail price last year was £356.40 + vat / after negotiations with S&S we we're able to reduce this price to £251.12 +vat. When you consider the cambelt alone retails at £129.10 + vat, i think you'll agree this is a reasonably / sensitively priced kit.

I took my Porsche to a dealer for some work which was completed satisfactorily. 2 days later I got a customer survey from Porsche uk which asked 30+ questions, all primarily about how well the dealer met my expectations. Same here. I only had the winter wheels swopped! Because I hadn't given the dealer a top score on one point...4 out of 5, the dealer then rang me to apologise and discuss the issue! I would assume they are similar to the surveys you get after buying a car. I never answer them, because of this: http://www.edmunds.com/car-buying/why-car-salespeople-beg-for-top-customer-survey-scores.html Seems like a broken system, so I normally don't participate.

Mark Many thanks for your prompt response I presume this is a more comprehensive kit than that being retailed by s and s 370 0015 for £72.95, plus a new cam belt at about £85. Also must have been a misunderstanding on price as I am happy to pay half of £250 rather than £400. Best Matt

I have been waiting months for parts to be delivered to my nearest agent in France, Esprit Competition. I need a Centa Compensator kit, steering comfort kit and new type rear hub. I had someone at the factory just under a month ago, collecting a new Plus 8 for shipment to France by truck. He said he was happy to collect my missing parts and put them on the truck. Morgan said they had already been sent, which sadly, does not appear to have been true, since they still have not arrived. I am waiting for the parts to arrive before I put my 2012 M3W in for the chassis check, as it is a real heave to leave the car at the dealer, who is some way away and it involves two long taxi journeys and two trains to get back home again from either Esprit's new place at the Paul Ricard circuit or their old at Aubagne.
Now today, my right hand exhaust has cracked just in front of the first side bracket. I suppose I will have to get this welded up, as on current form, I cannot see Morgan getting me a replacement this year. I will ask the welder to put a strengthening patch over where it has cracked but that probably just means it will crack elsewhere.
I am going to phone the factory tomorrow and ask why they have not sent the parts to Esprit.

Have you tried to PM Mark Evans here. I don't mean to be put too fine a point on it, but who exactly is "Mark Evans"? And if he's an authorized MMC rep, how come he clearly isn't identified as such, with both a special avatar and personal introduction, maybe even his own forum? This is the easy stuff, yes?
