Great cars, be sure to get some pictures up when you get her!

I will echo what most have said and add:

Another common problem is the digital mileometer showing up as scrambled on occasion. It will still count the mileage and usually it will work some days and not others. No fix so just another quirk!

Tyre PSI's should be around 23/24.

Check tyre sealant is present and not out of date - easy to overlook.

Problems with the digital mileometer are like the infamous starter clicking. They both go away if you are able to keep the car in a low humidity environment.

Wonderful cars indeed that funnily enough are being re-discovered. Effect maybe of the Series 5 Aero? Or just there aren't that many great V8 engined sports car bargains out there anymore?

Cheers

I think its more a case that the unusual looks are becoming more appreciated. There was quite a lot of negativity amongst the Morgan community when the Series 1 was launched, quite a bit of it aimed at the slanty eyes which personally I always thought quite attractive. It could be that there is a growing community of owners who have never been into Trads but like the modernity of the Aero, and the fact that its one of very very few modern cars that are coachbuilt to a non standard design.

There are lots of V8s around, many with rather better engineering. Your £60k can buy you an Aston Vantage or a Ferrari 355/360 or an SL Merc etc but none of them could be described as being unusual in design or even as rare as an Aero.

The future is a different matter. We've discussed the issue of sources of NA V8s for Morgans before now, but there is no doubt that the writing is on the wall for big thirsty V8 engines. F1 has gone to V6 turbo and doubled fuel efficiency. The mass manufacturers will follow. They arent being given a choice

Hello Howard

I agree with your remarks, and without wishing to start a debate think it's a shame that we no longer have V8s, V10s, V12s or even V16s in top end racing cars.

Cheers

Don't forget flat 6, 8, and 12's (boxer engines.

Update , i have put down a deposit and should be picking up the car w/e 1/10/17, while i am waiting i thought i would buy a few upgrades so a bit of advice please..i have a leather rimmed 14" motolita and Morgan horn push , do i need a boss or will it fit onto the standard boss?
Which interior mirror would you recommend and finally i would like to change the filler cap for a flush fitting aero style which i have seen for sale at Holdens , which size do i need and should a get a backing plate
Thanks and do you have any suggestions for any other upgrades?
