I collected the Aero on Saturday morning and travelled very carefully for 150 miles in very heavy rain (i had to stop a couple of times as the rain was so hard i really couldn't see more than 6 feet in front) then as i reached the eastern side of Leicester the skies cleared, the road dried and then i realised what an amazing car the Aero is, the sound of that V8, the 0-100mph acceleration, the grip in the corners... i could go on but you guys know what i mean. The car is in good order for 16 years old and has had a few of the important parts upgraded, power steering ,steering rack, wheel bearings, electric window cables, roof seals and a new set of wheels due to cracking. It also seems to have a short shift gear stick and the exhaust has 4 tailpipes so could be a sports version, the tyre monitor has long gone and the screen has been covered with a Morgan wings emblem? (not sure i an happy with this), the Mulberry bag is missing but everything else seems complete and the paintwork is near perfect. 1st reg 5/10/2001, chassis no ***********4G0029, Silver with Blue Hood and Bobbin blue leather Just going back to the garage now just to look at the Aero as i still can't believe how cool they look in the flesh!! I will post some pictures tomorrow

Great to hear your wait is over and you got home safely. Sounds like like you've got a good one that has been looked after. Enjoy driving the Aero, I was surprised how much attention they get since I got mine. Suspect it's because they are rarely seen as so few of them. Look forward to the photos.

Buggered Off, to a modern none leaky car, heart's still ticking
The thing we noticed firstly in France, then again yesterday on the way and back from Brooklands, is the amount of drivers (and passengers) who turn round to look at the headlights. The cars are best described as "marmite" cars. You either get 'em or you don't, and the headlights are a large part of that. NOT a car for shrinking Violets! I love mine. As Adrian says, a rare car. Since I've had mine I've never seen another on the road, only at events, and even then only Morgan events. Have fun, drive safely and enjoy the car. Hope to see you at a morgan bash sometime. Simon
