Glad to hear you're OK.

Good luck in the search for a new one. Shouldn't be too hard; the V70 is a great car. We had one as our trusty family workhorse for 10 years until the start of this year. It had about 200K kms on the clock when we moved it on and was still completely free of squeaks and rattles. It replaced an 850 estate we'd also had for years. I still rate the front seats of our V70 as being the most comfortable of any car I've been in.

Graham

My sympathies for the trauma that you and the car have suffered, at least you are OK and have lived to tell the tale.

I too am a V70 driver, in my case a 2006 SE 2.4 petrol manual which is a P2 facelift model, with about 87,000 miles. After a side swipe from a truck in July my insurance company tried to write it off, but luckily my local bodyshop did an excellent "contract repair" with some second-hand parts, and it is now back with me. There is something addictive about these cars, especially when you need carrying capacity and comfortable long distance cruising.

Good luck in your search for another vehicle. Colin "Spanner Juggler" knows a whole lot more than I ever will about them and I am sure he will respond to a PM.

Sorry to hear about your accident Graham but glad you are OK.

I hope your claim goes smoothly. I'm now up to to 2.5 years and with the prospect of more months to come before a hopeful resolution to my accident.

The good thing is, you walked away from it, Graham!
Insurance missary will hopefully be minimal...
I would be tempted by the new V90, it looks very nice and gets good reviews. Have not driven it myself.
Good-luck,
Bert

Glad to hear you came out relatively unscathed. Nice big solid cars the V70s. I am just about to replace my 150k 2002 D5 but it hopefulkly will contibue to serve my daughter well for a few years. I did think of the new V90 but it is very much more expensive than the old one. I think I am going to go for one of the last V70 D4s. Old & staid, but armchair comfort on the motorway.
Good luck with your search for a replacement.
