I wear a poppy as a mark of respect and remembrance for those who lost their lives in conflict. And for their families.
It's not a political gesture, it's a personal one. I suspect it's the same for the vast majority of us.

In the 70s and 80s dad was in an old soldiers thing he always wore his poppy with pride . One of the men he was friendly to wife used to sell them . Dad found out that they took a certain amount of that money for a night out with a meal and drinks . Dad was stonking told the so called under the thumb friend what he thought of them all and his friend ? for not putting a stop to it and dropped out of the old soldiers meetings . He hated cons and thieves .

There are a few charities that could be accused of that at an executive level that no longer get any money from us as well.
It is interesting to see the amount of collections that get through to activities vs administrative overhead.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
