Well I went up to my car to get it from the lockup.
I could smell a very familiar "stink"of mice.....
when I dug the car out of its slumbers I found in the rear a much chewed and stinky car blanket. A full nest and the big pile of pee and poo in the boot floor😩
Lucky lucky lucky
i store my car with the roof up over winter
no damage
car now stinks of dettol
Phew lucky or what

The worst nightmare with rodents is when they decide the wiring insulation of your car is delicious. It happened to a pal of mine. He ended up having to fit a new wiring loom.

I have put a lot of poison down in my barn - it seems to work. I find a lot of dead ones at least. Having your loom nibbled would not be fun.

We didn't have a mouse problem until a couple of years ago. Then the neighbour put some decking down. When it got to the point that you could see six at a time running round we took action. Since then we've trapped over sixty. Only four this year so far though.
I have a sonic device in the garage. No mice so far.

Our two ginger cats like to claim credit for keeping the mouse population under control, although I suspect it's the local foxes, kestrels, owls and buzzards that do the bulk of the work.
Now all the sheep and goats have gone and we're just down to 2 llamas, our fields seem to have been turned into a 5-acre mouse ranch by the local predators.
