Sixty six miles this morning down to Sherwood Forest (Clumber Park) in the Roadster. Left home at 05.30 and so the roads were deserted. Very atmospheric morning with a red sunrise, and lots of low mist on the fields. Arrived home before 07.30 for breakfast!
Might post some pics later.

First tootle since having a AAA repair operation.
Lunch at Wynyard Hall and a stroll round the gardens.
Sudden thunderstorm had me mopping the mog seats dry
with loo roll from the lavvies, must remember to store
a towel for future use.

A towel is an essential for all Morgan owners and indeed all intergalactic hitchhikers

I keep mine wrapped inside my folded hood - protecting the rear plastic screen

we made a nice 2 days trip in the north of France visiting la Coupole . Stayed at a hotel in Gosnay to see there another Mog ( new +4 , white with red spoke wheels ) of a friendly english man who lives in Switzerland. He was going back to the factory for some changes.

Glad we made it home as the last 200 km i couldn't engage 2 and 4 anymore without grinding noise . So we drove in 1,3,5. +4 from '89 , Rover M16 engine, i suppose a LT77 gearbox ? Perhaps something in the shift mechanism as 2 and 4 is pulling the stick ,so pushing on the rod to the box ??? ( reverse stayed OK , also a forward move of the stick as 1,3 and 5 )

Nice drive around the local area to finish drying the car after it, and SatNag and I got absolutely soaked southbound M1 yesterday after doing the NC500 over the last week. En route, the car clocked 110000 miles. Soaked in Wester Ross too, early on the route. Would recommend this route to you, but do not drive like the bunch of idiots in porkers, two thrashed past us on a soaking wet road, the second one then spinning, demolishing a tree and his stupid car, luckily no other person or car. He got out unscathed, but he ruined the holiday for his 5 pals.
