I drove my 2017 4/4 in driving rain on Tuesday hood up.
It was fine no water ingress at all.
I have noted that there is now a full width " roll" of mohair which fits very snuggly across the top of the windscreen . This seems to make a huge difference .
So much better than my 2008 4/4.
Any others noticed this?
Neil

My plus4 is my only car unless I need to borrow SWMBO's golf estaate to ferry our dogs or a large load. I have managed to make the (easy up) hood fully weather proof 9Bits of neoprene -Dave W!) so have no issues with the car hail, rain or shine.

My trad hood is water proof, no issues also on the front. Mine is a 2003, which I bought as a used car, so I´m not sure if the "rubber tube" for sealing the front window on the upper part next to the pins is standard or was added lateron as an improvement.
Last year I had dinner with a customer and just had the tonneau put on the car. An unexpected rain didn´t even allow me to go out of the building and cover the Mog with the storm cover to protect it. So when the rain was over I was extremly concerned how much water I would find inside - Not one drop, so also the tonneau is fully waterproof.

That extra sausage didn't stop the leaks on Bumble, Neil. It took Dr Neoprene to put things right.

When I worked full time & I commuted from Great Missenden to Yately c 35 miles each way.
Now it is taxis to LHR but occasionally the Mog is used for work like last month to Wrexham.

I have a M3W and a +8, I would have gotten the Easy up hood if I had a choice. I use only in good to fair weather conditions. I have a 4x4 in the snow and driving rainy days. I wouldn't even consider AC on a Morgan unless I lived in the desert.

I have the vinyl trad hood. It has a roll that sits on the screen frame. Not very effective so extra sealing has been added. I have a Simmonds mirror and the clip for the screen frame is a weak spot for water drips. The current extea seal is working so far. The sewn seams do allow water through but seam sealer is working so far. The hood pulls tight and the stitching gets pulled. I have tried beeswax but only partly ok. Hence seam sealers.

@Stewart: I seem to be a lucky guy with my waterproof weather equipment. The only mainenance I do regularely is to impregnate the vinyl.
Best regards from Austria
