Time has come to move on and sell. Genuinely will miss it, but going racing meaning time and funds are needed.

I have an advert on this site, but how best to go about selling it, contact dealers or MMC, Or Pistonheads/classic sales sites?

Tim Ayres at New Elms sells on commission. He did a great job for me a couple of years ago.

Most dealers will sell on commission, but some will work harder than others to get that payment . I have heard good and bad things about so many that I would be difficult to give an unbiased positive recommendation, except to say that your closest one may be the best from a viewpoint of logistics.

I hope I am not teaching grandmother to suck eggs, but have you prepared really well with lots of data and photos for prospective buyers.Take many photos from as many angles as possible include interior, and preferably the underside. Have as much information about the service history as you can muster, old MoTs etc.

Regarding other sales media, I think that Morgans have a pretty limited market so try the obvious channels first before going down PH/CC etc.

Sorry to see you are leaving the S1 club. Thanks for sharing all your updates and best wishes on your new racing venture.
On selling I prefer the sale on commission route, I think £2000 plus VAT is typical, although you have to wait for your money. I notice that most dealers are looking for stock so perhaps a straight sale may be available.
