I bought a pet dryer on ebay for around £50 which does the job of an air-blaster car dryer very well. Plus the air is filtered - has a choice of heats and air speed. Really does help dry a car - wouldn't be without it.

That's even curiouser, the Yanks use 110V, so 18A just gives 1980W or 2.6HP.

I watched a YouTube review for the States and he said one of the cons was it needed a 20 amp feed which he had in his garage

I’ve had one of their vac ‘n blo models for about a year, the narrow nozzle allows you to aim the warm air accurately, which is very useful on the Mog. It’s surprising how much water you can blow out from under the runner strips etc after you thought you’d dried it thoroughly.
I never use anything else when vacuuming any of the cars now as it’s powerful and easier to move around than a regular vacuum cleaner. I was thinking about one of those wall mounted vacuum cleaners with the long hoses but don’t think I’ll bother as this is so versatile.

Did you get it in pink?

Looks like a cheaper alternative.

I have been thinking about one of these for ages and still haven't got one, a friend has one for his bikes and rates it.
I wouldn't use a leaf blower as the air Is not filtered.

Stewart,
I got this one a few years back -

https://www.cardryers.co.uk/Blaster-Car-Dryer.php

Like Steve, I bought it at the NEC show so managed to get a discount on it. smile

Overall, I would say I'm happy with it.It doesn't have the heating element to it but the air does become slightly warm as it is forced out of the nozzle.

I find that it won't completely dry the car - unless you spend ages using it, but it does force the water out of all the nooks and crannies and makes it much easier to finish off with an absorbent cloth.

I would definitely recommend the wheeled dolly to sit it on as it lets you move it easily around the car.

I have an old electric leaf blower and a cheapo 2-stroke one too.As well as collecting up many hundreds of leaves swear,I also I used to use them for drying the motorbike but the blaster is much better than either of them.

If I was investing again , I might be tempted by the larger version - but it is a lot more dosh..... confused2

No mine is yellow! But a very cost effective alternative to an air-blaster.

Thanks all

I think because I wash the Morgan more in Winter than Summer I’m going to get the Blaster Heat model with a heavy duty dolly and hanging bracket
