And one for the New plus 8 mark 2 please ! The Aero forum is that forum. The 2012+ Plus 8 is an Aero platform vehicle. And a very good use of the Aero platform too!

It's hard to grasp that the Aero platform is no more.
Obviously son of Aero should deliver even more.......
But I'm getting a tear in the eye. "My era" at the factory was to see three versions of the Trad, and Aeros in production.

I'll save my emotion until they cease producing the Traditional chassis it has been a 50 year love affair for me, the first Plus 8 I saw I wanted and still feel the same way about them they are very special motor cars.
I really like the Aero Plus 8 but not in quite the same way, first loves linger.

But Rich what did you fall in love with, the style of the car or the chassis? I'll bet you fell in love with the look of it, not the ancient technology.

Yes quite true Peter, it just will symbolise the end of that era. I do like the Plus Six it's a fine looking machine with superior handling.

It was once described to me, by someone who should know, as probably the best driving Aero platform vehicle MMC had produced. Having driven one a fair few miles, I'd say that opinion had a lot of merit.

I do wonder if it is the lack of any meaningful weight behind the rear axle, matching the same at the front, that makes the difference? The Plus 8 has almost all its weight between the front and rear Axels. The PlusSix will be the same. I strongly suspect it will be excellent, but as I can't justify changing, I'm not going to drive one.

That is my thought - very little front and rear overhang.
When we did the Nordkapp trip, it felt very nimble and the handling progressive.
