Been touring Devon all week - only seen one Morgan, a light grey four seater in Tiverton - thought they would have been as popular as a creme tea down here. This could have been the the Tupperware you saw in the Dart Plastic Fantastic. We avoid it for a couple of months until things return to normal once more..

Today I had to move the Morgan from one side of the garage to the other so I could work on my MX5.
It was a distance of 32 miles

Another Great escape Gang run to Orford for luncheon followed by ice cream at Snape Maltings. Marvelous.

Nice run out to Buckfast Abbey for a look around the gardens, just lovely and spotted a few Brown Trout in the lake area at the bottom of the mill water wheel.
We have never seen so many bees on the Lavender it was impressive, the Monks Honey production this year is to be looked forward to.
The Monks were nowhere to be seen where as normally they are keen to engage you in conversation and father Christopher is a really interesting guy to talk to over a Cream Tea, I guess Catholicism and Covid don't mix too well given the demographic.

For the first time since mid June, I have actually driven my Morgan today There was an enforced gap as when I got home in mid June from a 70 mile pootle around local lanes, the clutch failed and would no longer clear. It was getting progressively worse as I was driving and by the time I got home the car was stalling against the brakes with the clutch fully down. Unfortunately due to Covid, Oakmere were unable to collect the car for a month, And even if they could, would have had to sit outside for a few weeks until its turn in the backlog came. Eventually the day came, they collected it and today I got to pick it up. Problem was diagnosed as a failed clutch master cylinder (which was the diagnosis I gave them, nice to be right sometimes!) which has now been replaced under warranty. Even though the trip was just a trans-pennine Motorway excursion, it was so good to be behind the wheel again, roof down, massive grin. My uncharitable thoughts towards the car evaporating with every mile. I just now need to engage with the factory to see if I can get my £199 collection charge refunded...I was unable to use my recovery service as the car was at home, and Oakmere couldn’t deal with the car until last week even if it had been sent there..so as I see it, the car had a major failure rendering it undrivable, was under warranty (year 2) and somehow had to be transported to the garage. MMC can only say no!
