I’d like to replace my black wire wheels with a set of centre lock Minilite wheels as flitted to the 2011 Supersport. I know that these are like hens teeth, and rarely turn up, but really like the look!

No, unfortunately not, but thanks for the tip off. The Supersport centre-lock wheels were a Morgan commissioned wheel made by Minilite specifically for the SS and Baby Doll and they don't need a bolt on adapter. From what've read I believe the wheels with the adapter are quite heavy.

Those are not like the Supersport wheels...the whole wheel and adapter is noticeably heavy.

I have 2 spare Supersport wheels for my Supersport...as you say very rare.

I was told by Tim Parsons who races a +4SS (yellow one 7/60) that to order spare wheels from Minilite due to an agreement with Morgan you have to produce the Supersport chassis number to prove ownership.

Tim has a set of 6 in his race car transporter in case he damages any wheels .

That’s interesting. When I spoke to them (Minilite) they said that they had looked at getting another batch made however the quantity necessary to make it economic was too high so had shelved the idea... unfortunately I can’t remember what that quantity was! This however could have been a smoke screen to put me off!

Yes I was told that by Minilite when I enquired..I was always nervous in case I damaged one on my car.

They strangely would not commit to a minimum build number as material prices were constantly changing !!!

I guess my 2 spare are going up in value as we speak !!!!...I paid £400 for the two..and one with a tyre on it !!!!
