It's time to follow up on the success of our '19 inaugural BRP Rally, to break out of our Covid Cocoons and enjoy mask-to-mask if we must, but hopefully, face-to-face M3W camaraderie again! This is the thread to share ideas, questions and commitments that we'll see you there!

When: June 2-6, 2021
Where: Skyland Lodge, Milepost 41.7, Skyline Dr., Luray, Virginia .
Shenandoah National Park
Skyline Drive and Sklyland Lodge

Reservations: 877.847.1919

Preferred - Two Queen Beds: $155.00
Traditional - Two Queen Beds: 124.00

Other accommodations are available and can be price-adjusted similarly.
If you've made an individual reservation, please call to move it over to this group

* Fifteen (15) rooms reserved - to be adjusted +/- based on demand
* Parking for the 3W's will be arranged on the lawn during 'show' time - provided no oil leaks! smile
* Parking for trailers is available

* Morgan car owners welcome (just bring libations to share with the 3W's!)

More to follow but want to get this into calendars!

From RCMATT:

Here are suggestions for two rides taking in a couple of interesting sites and venues.

1: Ride to Front Royal and then head a little west to VA 678. This is an out of the way ride through Fort Valley and a winding climb to the top of the ridge of Massanutten Mountain and an overlook of Luray VA. Then a steep and winding road (sort of like a Beatles song) into Luray for lunch. Luray allows us to climb up to skyline drive and back to the lodge. It is only 103 miles, but Google says it takes 3 hours!.

2: Skyland lodge to Huntly VA (via Front Royal) and a visit/tour/tasting at Rappahannock cellars. They also have picnic tables so it would be a great place to have a picnic lunch. We are members of their wine club, so if people wish to purchase wine we can mix and match a case with a 15% discount. I will have to check but there is a reasonable fee for the tour tasting. From Huntly then off to Sperryville to the Copper Fox distillery. This is a small distillery with a free tour (tasting has a fee) and they make a REALLY good single malt barley whisky. Then back to Skyland where I am sure we will all need a nap! Less than 90 miles but with the stops and winding roads will be the better part of a day.

I figure fine wine and good single malt whisky will fit this group well!

Beth and I will both have both "jabs" (it helps being in health care and we are both 65 (+)... but will no doubt be still with masks.

Drove it in my +8 which I shipped to the USA from England back in 2018, part of our 4,500 mile road trip. Stayed at Primland Meadows of Dan, then the Aloft in Asheville NC, heard Roots and Dore play, great music. Would love to do it again. Enjoy.

Dang this throwing a wrench in my plans for the summer. I would love getting together with a group of M3W owners and that part of the country is absolutely beautiful but we were looking at heading west to Colorado then over through Wyoming. Of course this covid mess has some states pretty closed down so Colorado may be scuttled and we head east. We ride East Tennessee, North Carolina at least once a year and hopping on up to Virginia wouldn’t be any stretch from there. When is the cutoff for reservations? I will see if the decision maker will switch destinations.

I suspect you have time to book a room.
