Managed my usual 30 mile shakedown run yesterday. Warm weather, partly sunny sky, what’s not to enjoy.

5 miles from home and the heavens opened, car and driver - soaked!

Glorious North Wales!

Lovely sunlit 4C run out today to Newton Abbot and return, you get a good view of Dartmoor on the way and it's a nice Morgan/motorbike road.

Got out at last for a blast through south Ox and Wilts, ending up with what must be the best coffee in the Northern Hemisphere, at Childrey stores.

Might feel compelled to visit there one day when the sun is out.

How do you make the hood stay up like that & does it act as wind / noise reducer?

Together with 2 other reprobates from here I did a nice 86 mile trip to Dovercourt & Harwich and back, Refreshments were provided by the local Wetherspoons in Harwich. woohoo

Coming back the high tide meant the Orwell had flooded the road near / under the Orwell bridge so on returning the car was hosed off , entailing another blast down to Felixstowe to dry it. laugh2 laugh2

So much fun to be had at 4c with the sun shining.

I made this contraption, it clips to the folded hood frame and the hood simply lies over it. Also it tilts the rear window a little forward and sits just low enough to give a clear rearward view over it. Yes it does reduce wind buffeting, although not completely. Minikeefy has a similar contraption which allows rearward vision through the window, but that would be too low for me. After a trial I realised that it would scrape the rear window so I added some black felt. Also I don’t need the tonneau and it makes raising the roof a 30 second job

Thanks that is clever. I guess with a 9 stud hood that is a help. Not sure if I could do that on the easy up hood.
