If you go to the factory Graham and peep in through a door...it's in there happy3

Every time I visit the factory, I come out feeling that there is something special in there.

What about price gentlemen its Ok for us we own one and know its faults but a new buyer is going to look and think price first £50k with all the knobs and whistles for this new roadster is not cheap for a play toy when you are worring about your job and home and family .Peter had a waiting list of 10 ! years for hard times the price has erroded that and I constantly see a new +4 SS a new 4/4 etc its the same cars with a bit extra or a teek here ant there . When I joined it had a good few lads in there 20s able to afford one now its all stuffy old farts like me who can afford one and thats a limited market from people who are fickle.

In answer to Peter, I'm sure that you are getting very excited at the prospect of picking up your new Plus Four and feel that you will have no problems and will enjoy an excellent drive back to Como.We had only one tiny issue with our new 4/4 and that is not worth mentioning.
As far as the question of slipping sales is concerned, I would only add that I was a little concerned when they introduced the 4/4 Sport. We use our 2008 1.8 Duratec 4/4 for touring and needed a cheaper alternative to the Plus Four with a luggage rack, the reassurance of a spare wheel and the very best economy possible. Our car which fulfils all our requirements is now being offered as a bespoke model and rather suggests to me that the company and dealers are beginning to realise that there is a place for a full spec. 4/4 as a cheaper and more economical touring option to the Plus Four.
We are retired, being financially squeezed at present and our age group could well be contributing to the current poor sales figures. As a hobby item, as someone said, Morgans are a very expensive vehicle.

You are quoting a blog as the source of your information. I am paraphrasing what the Dealer Principals of some of the premium UK sales channels are telling me.

This fits nicely with the first post on this topic: question the source of the message and allow that to reflect on the information you a reading. Porsche are hardly likely to do a press release stating that sales of Caymen, 911 and Boxster are slow in the UK and Europe. Also, please note that your source of information focuses heavily on both Cayenne and Panamera sales within Russia and China, both of which are emerging markets for Porsche. The Cayenne Diesel is in high demand within the UK but their sales of the other 3 lines are far less buoyant.

I honestly hope that I´m not too much under fire from all sides. If so, please accept my apologies. It was never my intention to swirl up for negative emotions, either in this forum or towards MMC.

It should not be too much an excuse but I have to write in not native language and the tonality of my lines is sometimes perhaps harsher than intended.

I love my Morgan car and I appreciate the existence of this eloquent forum and all the nice participants to share with this great hobby and all questions about all topics.

Regards,
Heinz

Porsche are also guilty of over-diversification. The market for any car comprises must-should-could buyers. When there was just a 911 it was simple. The 911 was and is gorgeous and desireable, with a fantastic competition history. The Boxster & Coxster have delivered volume, but also massive depreciation. The big ones? not the best styling in the world..........
They are all at it - I suppose it's a legacy of common platforms, but a finite number of customers with increasing choice can only go one way. Lower volumes of each model.

Back to MMC - the factory is a very special place. I could visit every Saturday!!!
