Yes a little better , if i apply maximum braking the abs activate on dry floor. The car is really nice to drive, i was missing it.

Will leave my Sam next week at Albert for the brake fix, I hope the pedal will also have less free travel than before the fix.

On my car the pedal travel is still large before braking. But it could be different on the plus six.

I collected my car from Krazy Horse on Saturday and the brake pedal is firmer and has shorter travel. Will be out again today and will report back then.

Glad yours is back John
Mine was collected 17 days ago, spent 6 days parked in the open air Acumen car park at the end of Coventry runway and since then has been moved around MMC to different bits including the field for two or three days.
Not heard anything and am getting somewhat fed up due to semi wasted summer and abandoned plans.
On a separate note you may recall I was disappointed with the speaker system-my dealer has ended up suggesting I find a local car stereo specialist as they nor MMC can do anything…
Hope your warm up drives gives you the fizz!!!!
Best wishes
HB

Shouldn’t be too long now HB, mine was 21 days from collection to return. It was supposed to be delivered back on a Monday, waited in all day and zilch. Aaaaaaargh – don’t you love it when that happens. Contacted Acumen who were full of apologies and promised to have it there the following day. The following morning we were sat having breakfast and bingo the wanderer returns.

Finished our Cornflakes and then it was off for a blast to the Lake District (from North Yorkshire) on a test run. Just as we were passing Tan Hill (highest pub in England) the Memsahib pipes up “tad rattly don’t you think Sir P” and after investigation found all the bolts holding the bonnet on were loose!

I put it down to all that Bollinger those chaps in Malvern must drink – given the amount of money they charge for their cars.

Been back about ten days now and after lots more runs out is starting to win us over again with its charms. It’s such a shame, underneath the reliability problems is a great car trying to get out.

Like you we had all sorts planned this year in the Morgan. Now cancelled two trips abroad, one for the lack of brakes and the other due to the fact I have lost confidence in it getting much further than our Parish boundaries before something else going wrong. Suppose we will have to follow in Peters footsteps and get a Porsche although having said that some of the comments regarding replacement engines makes you wander about those. Pity they don’t still make Jowetts, now there was a car.

Thank you Sir P ….
You’da thunk MMC would have taken the car for a test drive before returning the vehicle back. Ya know, maybe to check things such as new brake systems were working, at which point the test pilot may have heard the rattle. But perhaps that is expecting too much…
Not sure about the Jowett but I reckon a Dutton could be jolly…
Happy motoring once again your Lordship
Kind regards
HB

Now you gents must let me know if I'm over doing it here with the photos, as until I hear otherwise I'm liable to simply keep posting...

Another beautiful drive this evening, and another great opportunity to find more of the angles and contours that work when photographing the Plus Four. The more I drive the Plus Four the more I love it. It’s so cathartic having the wind in your hair and the sights and sounds and scents of the Dales so immediately present.

Curiously I’ve never had a car I’ve wanted to drive slower. My average speed today was around 23mph, yesterday it was 18, and that wasn’t because there were other cars on the roads. It’s just lovely to potter along and take it all in.

I do find the drives out slower than the return, which tends to be when I let the exhaust bubble pop. In any event, I’m throughly enjoy getting to know my Morgan, and may even be honing in on a name for him... But these things, as with driving a Morgan in general I am finding, shouldn't be rushed.

Quite liked this one: Leather, Wood, Wool, and a little Aluminium. Was good to remember what makes a Morgan.

From an aesthetic perspective, I am loving all the white lights and the white side indicators. Combined with all the other silver highlights, I feel it really comes together brilliantly.

Saw this beautiful old Bentley (61 I think?) pulled up on the verge on the way home so pulled over to talk with the owner. Had a lovely chat and poke around each others cars. He takes his to the south of France and Spain annually and has been driving it nearly weekly and often daily since purchasing it 25 years ago.

That's all for this evening. Do, seriously, let me know if it's becoming over kill. Just quite enjoying the glow of new love and the joys of driving and photographing such a beautiful car in such a beautiful place.
