Yes,
Had a very good pub lunch with the first owner (90), and his family, of my 1957 Plus 4. He sold it in 1965 and hasn't seen it since.
Interested to hear that it is close to original, including the very basic seats.

I should have added thanks to Stephen888 who found an advert for the car which included a comment from the first owners son, trying to find the car for his father.

Cool but dry here today so used a trip to Tesco as an excuse for going the long way everywhere and popping in to chat to my pal at the Smiddy ..... parked next to this in the Supermarket carpark ... proper '60s one, trailing a faint whiff of sunny beaches and pot-smoke .... never got to meet the driver but have seen it before so no doubt we'll cross paths before long .... he seems drive it at the drop of a hat so a kindred spirit.

Last time I drove a Beach Buggy was down in Baja some years ago... my late Cousin's pal lent us his beach house for a long weekend and there was one in the garage ... bit warmer than today though 🙂

We hired a Kubelwagen years ago in Teneriffe . We flew there with Laker to the airport in the mountains so it was a while ago. I never drove a beach buggy the but the Kubelwagen was fun.

Our clubs annual Autumn MOG was held in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. It was chilly all weekend including ice on the car Friday morning, and only a touch of light rain, but a great time was had by all. I even dressed in my finest outfit!

John ........ I do like Kubelwagens .... 2wd that could go most places a 4wd could (oddly enough, with the right pilot the 2cv is another in the same vein)

This is the one I got my hands on .... a somewhat reworked motor in it so a bit of a sand-dragster ... hence the roll cage to save you from the worst of your poor decisions 😁

Ps ..... quite a collection of Mogs there PaulyG ..... sometimes it looks like 4 seaters are more popular in the US than here!! .... are we likely to see your Mog with a steampunk wrap? .... there's some three wheelers that look great with that treatment 🙂
