Had a pleasant run out to a car upholsterer to get some idea of the cost of having VOJ's seats redone. They do need some tlc. £800 for leather, or £1500 vinyl.
Popped into a local elderly upholsterer who quoted £600 for leather. Quite a discrepancy.
Noted that the rear brakes were rather warm. Found the handbrake was binding, but not enough to stop me rotating the drum. A bit of bimbling with the mechanism on the rear axle and adjusting the rod length sorted it, but now the handbrake doesn't hold firmly frown. Back out with the adjuster when I next get an opportunity. At least I don't have a computer putting on a warning light.

Vinyl nearly twice the cost of leather?? Give Rob at INTATRIM a shout. They are custom building a pair of leather seats for our 4/4, including shipping to the USA, for less than your vinyl recovering job...

It does sound a bit pricey. I got front and back seats retrimmed in vinyl and it came to £720 (and an extra £40 for the heated seat pads). Was two years ago, but I am surprised that vinyl is more expensive than leather. I had the trimmer but some large pockets in the seat backs which give some useful storage for stuff....

Oops my error. Should read
£1800 for leather, or £1500 vinyl.
The discrepancy is between the company quoting £1800 leather and the local elderly gent working on his own at £600.

Just 20Kms to my supplying dealer to have No3 radiator fitted. New rad is different- only one inlet for the pipes from the expansion tanks( previous rad had 2 , one for each pipe) no instructions - phone factory - no instructions - just send us photos of the issue and we’ll respond- they didn’t!! A phone call to my friends at Williams Morgan sorted the issue and rad was fitted( thanks to Tony and Chris at Williams!)
So far so good, no leaks on garage floor!
How crazy is it to issue a changed radiator under warranty without fitting instructions? About as crazy as producing radiators that aren’t up to the task!

Now to enjoy the car, which is Fantastic (my 4th Morgan and the best by miles)

Cheers folks!!

Hopefully this new design setup resolves the radiator issues for good,

Fingers crossed Robbie. Nice to hear that Williams stopped up again, and hope the rad problems become part of history!
