Enjoy your drive today. The Plus Six engine is very smooth, power is progressive when in "non sport" mode and overall its a very nice drive. Ours is used mainly for touring about, so I tend to drive it with a light'ish throttle action. When driving fast in it I tend to drive it like a high capacity motorbike, watching how I feed in the power and aware as much as possible of the road surface. The brakes are ok, but may not feel quite as sharp as they could be.. you do adjust to them.

It's now polished within an inch of it's life i cant stop going into the garage and looking at it and feel very fortunate to own one.The memsahib says it goes on the road June the 1st we are cut from the same cloth. I must be the only person who likes the shifter but no dipstick and whats that oil thingy on the dash all about, Mark Baldwin tried to explain but i glazed over.......

Very jealous - I'd love one and will be straight to Pickersleigh if my numbers come up at the weekend.

I'd also have to buy a new house with a garage complex, but that would be no hardship if I win.

Hi Aerotaff, yes, I still stare at our car and give it a good polish. We live out in the sticks a bit, so the country roads are not nice and clean, but I find that the body design deflects most muck away from the bodywork. You will find that the rear wings have a plastic insert under them to prevent anything kicking up from under and marking them, this seems to work well. The front wings are not protected underneath in the same way, in fact there is no protection on ours, so I will be shortly giving them some "under armour" using the info and materials that Dave W suggested for his Trads.. I agree I miss a dipstick..simple and it works , so why complicate matters, but it seems to be the way of the world in car design at the moment.
One point, its worth getting a cockpit or storm cover to protect the mohair hood if you go anywhere with a lot of birds!! , we use ours a fair bit if the cars parked up at night when away from home.

The drivers handbook that comes with the car is fairly good at explaining most of the dash displays.. Drop me a PM if you want to discuss anything ref the car...

We will be at the Carew show on Saturday. Planned to meet a couple of Morgans at a RDV in Carmarthen then on to Carew. Leaving Carmarthen at 09.00. The entry form says there may be a meeting point near the show entrance.
Em.....you had better be there to let me see the car! I may be diving in next year.
