You can tell from this post that no one has actually cut open a Crossflow silencer!!

There are actually no baffles in it!

You basically have a perforated middle tube which is then surrounded by heat proof wadding then the outer casing with two end plates sealing the whole thing up!

I cut one open to try to figure out if I could make a replacement for mine but it was cheaper to have one made up!!
