Small update, the 4/4 is sold.

Needless to say, things are not as bad as what one might think it is after reading this whole thread. I know it got me a bit nervous that it would never sell or it would take ages etc. This wasn't the case. I'm satisfied on the sums, considering the time of year and the whole process was a fantastic one.

Stat wise, my ad on Autotrader had 450 views in under 5 days and Car&Classic had 190 views in approx 3 days, so not bad at all.

Well done Perry, that's great news.
I have been considering whether to sell my 4/4 recently but after reading these threads I too thought it sounded a bad time right now.
Good to hear it sold quickly and you are happy with what you got for it cheers

Thank you Paul. It's going to an enthusiast and will be in fantastic hands.

The build slot for the next car was set for a March delivery, hence putting it up during the off months. Alas the build slot has been pushed out so I could have waited until summer when the market should be better.

Personally, I would hold out until spring, assess what is out there compared to yours and try a few of the well known websites. You have nothing to lose.

Going back to the dark side Julian. Getting a Porsche. It fits the bill for a back road cruiser but can be used on longer trips and in all weather. Truly enjoyed the one I had before and it's been in the back of my mind since.

As a long time fan of Porsche and the custodian of a +8 for a tad over 20 years the obvious question would seem to be....Air cooled or water cooled Perry...? smile

I love them..........
I've had 7......., 2 boxsters, 4 911's and a macan..... the macan was a huge mistake, I hated it and sold it after a few weeks......😆
There are some incredible bargains in the used 911 world at the moment.
With £50k to spend it'd be a 991 all day for me.......
