I bought my first Fiesta in 1979 (was an early '77 car) and repaired my mates mums 1976 model on the QT when he crashed it whilst his parents were on holiday
As a family, we've owned numerous versions over the years and Mr's Cooperlady's last one is still lingering on with a cousin with an epic mileage

My first Fiesta Titanium Diesel 55 Reg was a Red one bought through my to be SIL also and Elles Bailey was still enjoying it last time I spoke to Henry, he took it in part exchange for my 4/4 Sport that was in his showroom back in Brizzle in 2009. I saw it fell in love with it so phoned the good lady and she said yes so we did the deal there and then and picked it up the following week, Henry is a great guy to deal with.
My next Blue Titanium was a 59 and my neighbour took it with 150,000 on it and it lasted him a long time.
My long series of Company cars were all Fords although we did get a limited choice of brands and although I used to cover ridiculous miles in them the only breakdown I have ever had was in an M reg Mondeo Estate when a cam belt idler collapsed and the belt slipped and excrement happened when the pistons had a liason with the valves.
So when people say Fix Or Repair Daily I put them right about that.

Just as HM Gov slaps £190 VED on all electric vehicles. Go figure. I'm happy to pay but we know it won't go on our roads. It never has done - the tax isnt hypothecated any more than national insurance insures you.
