Hi, I've recently bought a 1999 4 seater. My wife and I have 4 Shetland Sheepdogs and would like to take two of them with us in the Morgan. Has anyone carried dogs in the back of a 4 seater and how did you secure them. I have some ideas of what i need to do but just wondered if anyone has had any experience of doing this. Thanks.

We use the same. You need a spare seat belt socket though so a driver only option on a two seater.

I wonder if the bolt's long enough to piggyback another seat belt clip? ... as a cat person, having my pet along for the ride would take a cage, elbow length rhino-hide gloves and a fencing mask!! 🙂

Clip the rear seat belt belt into the socket, there is a very cheap collar/ harness attachment for the dog using the inertia reel obtainable from most pet shops which fastens to the empty fixed car belt and you just clip the dog to that. It cleverly allows some movement for the dog using the inertia reel of the car belt, enough to make the dog comfortable but in my experience they don't tend to pull at it and move out of position. Should the worst happen the inertia reel belt will operate in the normal way!

In my 2 seater I have an eyebolt through the rear panel, dog wears a harness connected to the bolt by a short strap.

I added a fifth seatbelt socket to secure a dog in addition to our daughters. Hence, I got a Morgan Five-Seater. cool

Solved that problem.

Absolutely fool proof

Taught my dog to drive!

Absolutely fantastic, I take him down the pub and he drives me back!
