New Elms are selling a 1980 4/4 4-seater. It could do with a little tidying but it's a usable car with a new MOT for £10,500. It must be the cheapest Morgan on the market.

A similar model is up for auction. A year older and higher mileage, but has been restored. Currently at £5k with 6 days to go. I'm keeping an eye on it.

Goodness, giving them away.

my 4/4 clocked over 100,001 miles yesterday. Don't expect I would get much as a trade-in.

A very similar model, albeit in a better state of preservation, is up for auction. Currently at £5k with 6 days to go. I'm keeping an eye on it.

The drivers seat in the New Elms one looks as though the car has been driven more that 42k miles. Still looks a bargain

I fancied a late X-flow 4 seater., but I'm not in the Morgan market now.

I often feel I don't do enough to keep my '64 +4 four-seater in good shape, especially as I read about all of the things that others do. After seeing these photos, I do feel better.

I didn't mention that the New Elms car was mine; I traded it in earlier this month. It has already sold, so perhaps it was a little too cheap? Someone has got a bargain.

I'll be interested to see what the auction car fetches when bidding ends next Tuesday evening.

Got to £15k in the usual sniper bidding, but failed to reach reserve.

Update: Now sold post-auction for £15,750

I'm not sure what that says about values, but it shows there are still buyers out there at this end of the market.

It does tend to support my point - there are loads more people out there who would love to own a Morgan but can't afford supercar prices than there are people who quite fancy a Morgan and don't mind spending £100k or thereabouts to do so.
