Touring through France and Italy later this year. Thinking of getting a Telepass but hear stories of them not working with heated windscreen (wires interfere with signal). Anyone have experience of Telepass with a heated windscreen - I would appreciate any tips, experiences etc. Many thanks!

I keep mine in the door pocket and hold it up when approaching the barrier. It’s safer than attaching it to the windscreen in an open top car where it could go missing when parked up.

We fitted one of those cheap little parking ticket clips worked well and you can take it off when you park up with the top off.

We have it attached in the usual position next to the mirror. It never gives any problem.
For a long time we only had one Telepass and we swapped it arround as required. With the plan we have you can have two cars on the one Telepass but you can change the car (plate number) at any time using the app. Since then they have offered a second Telepass at no cost so, with the fleet reduced to two, we can keep one in each car. Only one is enabled for international use so we can swap that as required. The other is enabled only for use in Italy.
Some years ago, before the international Telepass was available in Italy, we had a VINCI télépéage which also worked for Spain and Portugal. That was attached with Velcro to the sunvisor and worked quite well there.

We keep it elsewhere as we worry about theft but several folks at the French 50th had it stuck on the windscreen behind the mirror.

Easiest to keep it handy and just hold it up as you approach the barrier - that way you won't have to remember to take it off the screen when parked up.

We are now in the Pyrenees, covered just under 1k miles in 6 days, used the toll motorways on the West side of France for some of the journey so far, our transducer is located on its holder stuck to screen just behind central mirror on passenger side, so driver can't see it. It works perfectly with the Plus Six heated screen. We always remove the transducer when we are not in the car, it then lives in a little packet that comes with it, the packet stops it being seen when not being used. The temp here has been 38 degrees and we drove with top down and up in the heat and it still worked perfectly. If you decide to use the stick on screen holder for the transducer, just make sure to position it far enough away from mirror stem so transducer can easily be removed. Dave

Thanks all, sounds like my worries about the heating elements interfering are unfounded. Good tip about removing it - can I assume that the adhesive part stays on the screen when you remove the actual unit and you just clip in/out when parked up?
