In addition to the query about accessories posted in a separate thread Super3 Accessories, (which I will update there), I've been giving some thought to mounting a front spare to the rear of the Super3.
I'm not a big fan of the exo-skeleton, leaving aside price, which would seem to be a logical mounting device. The spare would be for a front tire, "unmounted" in the sense that I would not have it fully installed on an extra front wheel, but simply mount the bare tire (possibly with a UV cover if I can come up with one to minimize deterioration). By this post/thread, I'm inviting ideas to accomplish this. With my thanks in advance.
BTW, the vehicle is at the Petrol Lounge getting various things done, which I will address in the "accessories" thread linked to above.

Mount it on the sideblade on the passenger side? If the mounts there can take a full suitcase they might be OK with a spare wheel (optimistic I know!)

Mounting on the side would be much easier, however the maximum load on the sides is 18kg coffee

Right, and I'm planning on mounting the soft Malle luggage on both sides. There is a strap down for the rear which I could use with a custom tire cover for UV protection. The arrangement would include a thick pad to protect the paint, which is going to get protective film and ceramic coating. I think that might work ok-- for touring. If I'm staying near Austin, no need. I'll just call the guy.
I broke down in a pre-war car once, that had a side mount. You should have seen the reaction of the AAA guys that showed up. But they helped me jack up the car and install the side mount which got me home. I eventually had all new wheels made in England at no small expense.
The moral of the story is that I really like the pre-war vibe, but lots of headaches- thus a newish car that gives you the visceral quality of the vintage stuff with fewer headaches.
I know Morgan keeps up the tradition, though, as I am learning.... smile

Rather than carry a tire, why not just a tube? Or if the Super3 doesn't use tubes in the front, just carry a patching kit. Labor to dismount/mount is the same, but much less to carry.

For the last 10 years, when I do road trips in one of my older machines, I carry the Porsche mobility kit from my Cayman. It includes patching kit, injectable sealant, and a 12v air compressor.
Never had to use it. smile

I'm told the front tires on the Super3 are tubeless and there is a tire repair kit included in the boot. I haven't investigated it- the vehicle is at the Petrol Lounge right now, getting the protective coatings on the paint, along with installation of some of the accessories.
Interestingly, though Morgan offers an option for a pre-cut face plate where the heater switches belong--this particular example had none, just a blank face plate--I was told that Morgan was out of stock on these pre-cut plates which they would have to custom make. Which means they've run out or only had enough for whatever current production is--don't know what that portends.
In the meantime, trying to figure out a solution to a phone mount and the usb ports. The Beeline Moto II will also be installed as part of this- we were able to get just the angle bracket for it from Morgan.
On the spare v the repair kit, I was thinking of our upcoming trip to the Ozarks with other 3 wheelers- it's one thing if I get roadsided near Austin, and have a pair of spares that came with the car at Petrol Lounge right now; altogether another thing if I'm hundreds of miles from home. I don't know enough about these tire repair kits --is it really meant just to get you home (short distance) until the tire can be replaced? I know that on some sports cars a tire can be repaired, but I don't have a lot of past experience with this-- I nailed a tire shortly after getting the 550 Barchetta and the factory had run out of the Eagle tire they used for the F-50. Ferrari made me pay for the tire I nailed, but picked up the cost of the other three due to the fact that they could not supply a matching tire.
Thanks Steve, and others for your input on this. It's been raining like crazy here (no doubt you've seen the news about the awful flooding) so I'm ok with not driving the vehicle right now--just want to get all the stuff done at once if possible and figured I had some time to sort out a spare carry solution in advance of the Ozarks trip in mid-September.

I was chatting to some 5 speeder owners only yesterday and quite a few of them that do long touring trips use an anti puncture goo in the tyre all the time, it's popular with bikers too

Maybe just mount the spare tyre, not the wheel? Justification:
1. Tyre is < 18Kg
2. Tyre is custom, whereas tyre filters are common
3. If you really wanted luggage as well, a circular bag inside the wheel would work.

Would work on the side blade or on the boot/trunk.

Not sure I would want the weight of a spare wheel on the back without some reinforcement and/or custom mount. Over the bonnet would also need a custom mount, but given the high seating position would not cause a visibility issue wink

I'm going to look more closely at the repair kit with the guys at the facility where the vehicle is- they maintain a lot of iron, quite a few racing cars and the one owner has a M3W so has given his personal attention to mine, which is there for a bunch of things including paint protection. Yes, I had contemplated an unmounted spare, not pre-installed on another wheel. @PaulV raises a good issue about impacting the boot which is thin aluminum skin. There is a company in the UK that makes a strap down mounting kit with pad for for mounted spares but I need to do more digging. Thanks, all!
