Aussie M3W

Some shots I've been sent - the rear view mirror gives a stunning view of the high level rear light!

Rather a shame that lovely engine is covered in shielding. I've seen a number of the Australian homologation cars at the factory before shipping out and they didn't have the shields or the intake tubes...perhaps those are fitted in Australia.

Having seen the cars in the flesh I rather liked some of the changes, the padded cockpit coaming edge and head rests in particular.

When I saw a version in MEL about 18 months ago I like the changes you list and even the high level rear light. I actually like the lack of windscreen - the rest doesn't look quite so sharp in my view.

ok I'm no expert but the engine is air cooled, so you put heat shielding on it to block some of the cooling air. i hope they did summer heat testing on that. I do like the rearview mirror idea, but wish it was a little more vintage looking. there are many better looking dash mounted mirrors out there, then the one they went with. and I do like the extra leather padding around the cockpit. But the engine heat shielding and air intake, and the extra brake light do not look good.

That steering wheel kills it for me , any flying stones would be deadly I would never jump in without a top quality helmet and visor but still fancy a go . Not as much as swmbo she has the hots for one jumped into BHM at Mog 2014 was a bit miffed as she did not get a ride claims she wants to sit down with Sarah ( BHM ) and do an outrageous in your face one between them crazy3 crazy3. See what Morgan has done to my ever so straight laced wife, she is turning to a mog nutter. One in the family is enough soapbox

Mmmm well that sure is a different look for the M3W.

Not at all to my taste. The homoglation seems to have taken so much away and added the ugly!!

BUT I wish the car success in Aus!

Would be interested to see it in real life as it may look better than in the photographs, I certainly hope so.

Some interesting changes some I like but I definitely don't like the steering wheel.

Why didn't they incorporate the high-level light in the back of the padding for the roll-over bars? Could have had two lamps then, and not obscured the rear view mirror. thinking Gerry.
ps did I read somewhere that the intake ducting was something to do with noise limits? I wonder how the exhausts sound.
